Crafted from locally sourced Ash, this dramatic piece was turned from timber removed during BT’s cable‑clearing work behind the maker’s home. Rather than letting the wood go to waste, it’s been transformed into a bold, sculptural bowl with striking natural character.

Measuring 100mm high, 335mm long, and 220mm wide, this is a substantial piece with a beautiful grain flow running the full length of the form. The sweeping live‑edge rim gives it presence and movement, making it just as suitable as a wall‑mounted art piece as it is a functional bowl.

Finished with Chestnut cellulose sanding sealer and Chestnut Microcrystalline Wax, the surface is fully food‑safe and toy‑safe, with a smooth, durable sheen.

Turned using a live‑edge bowl technique, the natural contours of the branch are preserved, including a knot hole in the base that adds authenticity and a glimpse into the tree’s history.
