Crafted from locally sourced Blackthorn, this piece carries a personal story. After high winds brought down three trees in a friend’s mother’s garden, the timber was rescued during the clear‑up — and a bowl was made from each tree as a thank‑you. This piece is one of them, giving new life to wood that would otherwise have been lost.

Measuring 80mm high, 170mm long, and 129mm wide, it’s a wonderfully tactile key or coin bowl with a bold, natural presence.

Finished with Chestnut cellulose sanding sealer and Chestnut Microcrystalline Wax, the surface is fully food‑safe and toy‑safe, with a smooth, durable sheen.

Turned using a live‑edge bowl technique, the rim is dramatic and chunky, showcasing the natural character of the tree. One end retains an original chainsaw cut, adding a raw, honest glimpse into the tree’s history and the moment it fell.
