Turned from silver birch reclaimed during tree maintenance at work, this piece comes from a bend in the branch, giving the form its gentle, natural angles. The base leans one way while the top leans the other, creating a subtle sense of movement that reflects the original shape of the wood.

Standing 175mm high with an 85mm diameter, the mushroom shows the distinctive grain patterning of silver birch, with the bark’s soft colouration adding contrast and making the form visually pop. The smooth, refined body sits comfortably beneath the live‑edge rim, bringing together clean turning and organic character.

Finished with Chestnut cellulose sanding sealer and Chestnut Microcrystalline Wax, the surface is smooth, tactile, and fully food‑ and toy‑safe. A simple, expressive one‑off — shaped by nature and finished by hand.
