Turned from a silver birch branch reclaimed during tree maintenance at work, this tall, slender mushroom comes from one of the maker’s earliest off‑centre runs. The slight offset creates a top rim that differs subtly from the base, giving the form a gentle sense of movement and individuality.

Standing 205mm high with a 95mm base diameter, the piece incorporates a natural branching scar at the base, adding texture and a glimpse into the tree’s growth. The smooth, refined body contrasts with the live‑edge rim, highlighting the soft grain and pale tones characteristic of silver birch.

Finished with Chestnut cellulose sanding sealer and Chestnut Microcrystalline Wax, the surface is smooth, tactile, and fully food‑ and toy‑safe. A simple, expressive one‑off — shaped by nature and finished by hand.
